Two-hob Gear Deburring

Gears really do not like burrs, so after gear cutting, burrs must be removed.

Here is one example of the many ways to deburr a gear.

This process uses 2 hob cutting tools.

Each cuts and feeds in an opposite direction, thus removing burrs.

This process can be used on plastic or metal gears.
